Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:

  1. Earlier this month, the Lakewood mayor visited Washington, D.C. to meet with the Biden Administration. On Sep. 7, Mayor Meghan George joined other Buckeye State civic leaders who met with Biden Administration officials in Washington, D.C. as part of the “Communities in Action: Building a Better Ohio” forum. “I was excited and thrilled to be a part of the conversation with the Biden administration and other leaders around the state to talk about these federal dollars that are making a substantial impact on all of our communities,” George said.   2. A Lakewood home recently sold for $7 million. The home, located at 13476 Edgewater Drive, was called an “architectural masterpiece” by the selling firm Chestnut Hill Realty Inc.   3. A number of Lakewood spots were named the Best Bars and Clubs in Cleveland in 2022, according to Cleveland Scene readers. The list highlighted numerous spots around Lakewood, including Lakewood Truck Park which was named the Best Spot For Day Drinking. Georgetown made the list as the Best Happy Hour, along with Pins and Needles which won the title for Best New Bar. (Cleveland Scene)
