Lakewood Residents Explain How People React To Living In Ohio

We asked Ohio's Patch readers what people say whey they learn you live in Ohio. Lakewood residents have plenty of jokes.

LAKEWOOD, OH — More than any other state in the nation, Ohio receives an undue share of abuse from TV hosts and late-night comedians. Even New York City's Twitter accounts feel the need to take random shots at Cleveland.

Still, Ohio is one of the 10 most populous states in the nation. According to the last Census, there are more than 11.5 million Ohioans. There's plenty of Buckeye State residents roaming through the world, and they can't all hate living here. Gosh, some might even like Ohio.

That's why we asked Ohioans what people say when they learn you're from the great state of Ohio. And Lakewood residents had a hearty laugh.
