• Also, the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce named its four scholarship winners.

They are:

Louis Rispoli from St. Edward High School and Samiha Abusharekh, Kevin Ritter and Clay Verga from Lakewood High School.

“The chamber of commerce has always supported education in our community,” said Patty Ryan, the chamber’s executive director.

“The criteria that we use to select students is slightly different than many scholarships programs because we identify students who have work experience. The things you learn in your first job are also very relevant and a good indicator of whether you’ll succeed in college and beyond.”
