The free workshop is a part of its Knowing Your Home series, an educational series focused on best sustainability and home maintenance practices empowering homeowners to tackle necessary repairs and improvements. - Cuyahoga County officials are working to decrease the number of kids left overnight at an office building in downtown Cleveland. After a recent news investigation revealed dozens of teens spent more than one night in the Jane Edna Hunter office building so far this year, county officials are proposing ideas that could change both the lives of vulnerable children and their social workers. After reissuing the call for help from community partners recently, Jacqueline Fletcher, the new interim director of Cuyahoga County’s Child and Family Services, says the Centers for Family and Children proposed a plan that would open up eight beds for kids who are awaiting placement — however, there’s currently no concrete timeline for when beds will open. - The City of Lakewood has released the Lakewood Community Health Needs Assessment Report. The report, released alongside partners at the Healthy Lakewood Foundation, the Three Arches Foundation, and The Center for Community Solutions, is the first of two reports tied to the Lakewood Community Health Needs Assessment and Action Plan, which comes after nearly a year of research and analysis. According to the report, nine out of 10 (89.3 percent) residents have visited their primary care provider in the last year and four in five (81.8 percent) residents have someone who can always answer their health-related questions.
