Lakewood's Public Pools Splash into Summer
Foster, Becks, Lakewood High School pools all open for business.
The Lakewood Parks and Recreation Department opened its three public pools in Lakewood this weekend. With temperatures in recent weeks breaking records, the timing couldn't be better.
The opening of the pools — Foster, Becks and Lakewood High School — is an annual rite of passage in Lakewood, when students get out of schools and residents are looking to beat the heat.
Open swim began June 11 and wil run through Aug. 15. The pools are open to all at cost.
