Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- The Lakewood Police Department is investigating multiple recent vehicle thefts and attempted thefts this month. There were two incidents of "grand theft vehicle" — one on Clifton Boulevard and one on Detroit between Wayne Avenue and Clifton Place. There were also four incidents of "attempted grand theft vehicle." (Cleveland.com)
- On Saturday morning, Sep. 17, there was a fire on the second floor of a seven-story apartment building in the 1400 block of Warren Road. The Lakewood Fire Department controlled the fire and no firefighters were injured, but several residents were hospitalized and 14 residents were displaced. (Cleveland 19 News)
