- Yesterday, Sep. 16, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that 13 local law enforcement agencies will receive a total of $8.2 million to help prevent and investigate violent crimes. The Lakewood Police Department will receive $217,752.26 for new technology and increased patrols. (Ohio Governor)
- According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention map, as of Sep. 15, Cuyahoga County and most of Greater Cleveland are yellow, which means there is medium COVID-19 transmission. But Lorain County, which borders Cuyahoga County, has been red for the past two weeks, which means there is high COVID-19 transmission. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- Maurice Kimball IV, a 20-year-old neurodivergent actor from British Columbia, will star in a Beck Center of the Arts play, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night-Time," which will run from Sep. 23 through Oct. 16 in the Senney Theater in Lakewood. Kimball will play Christopher, an extremely intelligent 15-year-old on the autism spectrum. Kimball said, "Christopher is coming of age and starting to solve a lot of mysteries about a murder, himself, life and how it all works." (Cleveland.com)
