Man Falls Asleep With One Foot on the Brake

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sleepy, not drunk

A man was stopped by police in the 14800 block of Madison Avenue at around 3:50 a.m. March 31. The man had fallen asleep behind the wheel, with his foot on the brake. He wasn’t intoxicated, just “very tired.”

Purse snatched

Police responded to a report of a robbery near at around 6:30 a.m. March 30. The man robbed a woman of her purse and the $45 inside. As he fled the scene on foot, he dropped the purse. Police were unable to locate the man. The suspect was described as a 6-feet tall white man, with a thin build, wearing a grey sweatshirt and dark gym shorts.

Disorderly conduct

Police received a call about a man beating a woman in a parked car in the 11800 block of Edgewater Drive at around midnight March 31. When officers showed up, they charged the man with disorderly conduct and drug paraphernalia.

Copper pipes stolen

Copper pipes were reported stripped and stolen from a vacant house in the 1500 block of Victoria Avenue at around 11 a.m. March 31.
