Mark Your Calendars and Build Your Appetite, Lakewood Wing Crawl Slated for August 20th

The Lakewood Wing Crawl has been scheduled well in advance so participants can plan their vacations around the date. The traditional summer event will be held on Saturday August 20th and an impressive lineup of contestants is already established.

The history of this event dates back to 2006 when just 6 contestants set up shop at Lakewood Park to serve up wings from portable deep fryers. The following year, it was decided that instead of having all the wings in one location, people would walk from place to place to sample the wings. This year's contest to determine who has the best wings in Lakewood has 11 contestants between Elbur and Mathews. Each contestant will serve up 4 wings (2 of their buffalo flavored entry and 2 of their open flavor entry). A free shuttle will be provided.

VIP guests and celebrity judges will cast ballots at the end of the day to choose winners of the People’s Choice for each category to determine the Best Wings in Lakewood.
