Mayor to Host Twitter Forum to Connect With Residents
Online forum slated for 5:30 p.m. Aug. 21.

Now that a couple of the brick-and-mortar Listening to Lakewood events are over, the mayor is scheduled to host an online forum through his Twitter account on 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21.
“This is an opportunity for residents to discuss Lakewood and share their thoughts with the mayor,” according to a press release from the city.

“Connecting to our citizens regarding any subject of concern or interest is vital to the performance of my job,” Summers said in the statement. “Generation Xer’s and Millennials comprise 35 percent of our population. This group stays connected in different ways from traditional government avenues.
“I am reaching out on Twitter to this important segment of our population to let them know local government is interested in what is on their minds and we need their ideas and input.”
