Nina Pizzo: Head of the Class as Valedictorian
The graduating senior maintained a 4.604 GPA at Lakewood High School.

Nina Pizzo is described by her guidance counselor as a “Renaissance woman.”
The graduating senior — who maintained a 4.604 GPA at — kept herself busy in her four years.
She took the “absolutely most rigorous” academic Science and Math class (AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Calculus BC) and studied three languages (Latin, German and French) at the high school.

For good measure, she attended a summer language institute at Kent State University, where she studied Chinese.
Guidance counselor Jeanne Hoopes called Pizzo a “artistic and creative” student who designed costumes and served in leadership positions with Dance Group.

She was also a Rangerette; member of the tennis team; and in her “spare time,” also served as co-president of the Key Club.
Pizzo, who plans to attend the University of Cincinnati next fall, will speak at graduation on Sunday.
