Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:

  1. Yesterday, Sep. 30, the Ohio Department of Health reported the state's first monkeypox death. The agency said the man who died had existing health conditions, but would not give any additional information to protect his identity. More than half of the monkeypox cases in Ohio have been recorded in Cuyahoga County, according to the ODH's monkeypox dashboard. (The Statehouse News Bureau)
  2. A two-story colonial home that overlooks Lake Erie on Edgewater Drive in Lakewood sold for $7 million last week. The lakefront home became the most expensive house sold in Cuyahoga County this year.(Cleveland.com)
