Police Blotter: A Break in the Case of Stolen Bikes, Neighbor Dispute and Pot Found in Backyard

Dangerous drugs

A woman was arrested and charged with dangerous drugs at around 1 a.m. June 6, following a traffic stop at the intersection of Warren Road and Detroit Avenue.

A juvenile was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property June 8 after the victim’s father spotted the stolen bike on Lakewood Heights Boulevard.

Robbery

A caller told police that three men were fighting at the bus shelter at Warren Road and Detroit Avenue at around 5:30 a.m. June 6. The dispatcher heard in the background that one of the men said he was being robbed by the other two men. Police were unable to catch up with the robbers.

Driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia 

A woman was charged with driving under suspension at 10 a.m. June 7, following a traffic stop at Detroit Avenue and W. 117th Street. She was also charged with drug paraphernalia.

Reckless operation

A man was charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Mars Avenue at around 2 a.m. June 8.

Do unto your neighbors

A man in the 2100 block of Glenbury Avenue told police June 8 that his neighbor is damaging his lawn. He added that the neighbor is upset over a recent land survey. Police told them both that since their dispute is over the property line, it is a civil matter.

Finders keepers?

A woman in the 2000 block of Richland Avenue found a bag of marijuana in her backyard on June 8. Police impounded the small amount of pot.

Stealing candy

A man was told not to return to the after he stole candy from the store at 7 p.m. June 8. He was caught with the sweets, but the store didn't press charges.
