Police Blotter: Car Crashes Through Home; Bomb Squad Called; Indecent Exposure
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Car crashes through home
A car crashed through a home in the 1200 block of Cook Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. Aug. 1. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle has remained on the scene while officials from the city’s building department make sure that the structure of the home was secure.
Bomb squad deployed

Bomb technicians from five communities responded to a report of a “suspicious white powder” in an old military can in the 1600 block of Elbur Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. July 31. It turns out that the can contained the remains of a cat that had decomposed.
Suspected pit bull attacks dog

A woman told police that her dog was attacked by a pit bull in the 1500 block of Coutant Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. July 29. The tan and white dog was last seen running loose in area of Franklin Boulevard and Alameda Avenue. The animal control officer responded, and the owner of the dog was cited.
Public indecency
A man was charged with public indecency and public intoxication after he was reported “completely naked” along Lake Avenue near the at around 6:30 a.m. July 30.
More indecent exposure
A woman in the 1200 block of Elbur Avenue “exposed her backside” to the complainant who was videotaping at around 8 p.m. July 30.
Assault
A woman was hit by a car while walking in the 1300 block of Cove Avenue at around 11 p.m. July 30. The driver of the vehicle fled north on Cove Avenue, and the woman was taken to Metro Hospital. Her injuries were not reported.
Two burglaries
A burglary was reported in the 1400 block of Lewis Avenue at 6:20 a.m. Aug. 1. The home was broken into and the car was stolen. Less than a block away, another burglary was reported — this one in the 1500 block of Chesterland Avenue. A purse and jars of money were reported stolen.
