Police Blotter: Gunshots Fired, a Mugging and a Fight

Burglary
A woman in the 2000 block of Wascana Avenue told police May 20 that there was an unspecified amount of money stolen from her bedroom.

Police were called to the for a report that a female customer pulled the hair of another female customer before leaving the store at around 11 a.m. May 20.
Shoplifting

A woman was charged with shoplifting May 21, after she was suspected of stealing merchandise from the on Detroit Avenue.
Kids playing chicken with a train
Police received a report that a group of juveniles were standing on the railroad tracks near Fry Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. May 22, waiting for the train to come before jumping off. When police arrived on the scene, the children ran away.
Gunshots fired
Police responded to at least two reports of gunshots near the 1600 block of Larchmont Avenue around 12:30 a.m. May 23. Police responded to the neighborhood but found no evidence of gunfire.
Mugging on Madison Avenue
A man told police that he was mugged by two men in the 17000 block of Madison Avenue around 2:30 a.m. May 23. The victim said the suspects took his wallet and his Walkman, before knocking him unconscious. Some of the property was recovered a block away a short time later.
