Police Blotter: Spray-Painting Spree; Drug Charges; Felonious Assault

Spray-painting spree
It seems that someone has the wrong idea about painting the town.
Several businesses and cars were spray-painted in the early morning of Nov. 16.

A woman in the 2100 block of Lewis Avenue told police that her truck was spray-painted while it was parked in the driveway at around 9:45 a.m. Nov. 16. A couple blocks away, there was a report of spray-paint on the side of on Madison Avenue.
Another report was made in the morning at on Lakewood Avenue. Later in the day, graffiti was reported on the picnic tables at .

Another resident, this one in the 2100 block of Elbur Avenue, reported a vehicle has been spray-painted while parked in the driveway.
Police are investigating.
Drug possession
Following a traffic stop in the 11700 block of Madison Avenue, a man was charged with not having a driver’s license at around 1 a.m. Nov. 11. His passenger was charged with possession of dangerous drugs. The vehicle was towed.
Disorderly conduct
A man called police about another man “acting strange” in his yard at around 4 p.m. Nov. 11. The strange man was charged with disorderly conduct and open container.
Dangerous drugs
A woman was charged with dangerous drugs after her vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Detroit and Beach avenues at around 3 p.m. Nov. 11, and police found a hypodermic needle.
Felonious assault
A man was charged with felonious assault after a fight in the parking lot of Aldi on W. 117th Street at around 2 a.m. Nov. 13.
