Police Blotter: Stolen Chandelier; Burglary; and Alcohol Down the Pants

Receiving stolen property

A man tried to sell a stolen chandelier to the at around 3 p.m. Nov. 15. He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

A man was arrested and charged with petty theft after he was caught stuffing pints of alcohol down his pants at at around 12:20 p.m. Nov. 17. The man was also charged with resisting arrest.

Threatening

A student at  told police that a man came into the Detroit Avenue building telling her that he was going to kill her at around 9 a.m. Nov. 15. Police told the man that he would be arrested for trespassing if he returns to the college.

Burglary

A woman in the 1400 block of Belle Avenue told police that someone broke into her home and stole her purse at around 8 p.m. Nov. 16.

Another burglary

A woman told that a man — who she had a restraining order against — kicked down the door of her Alameda Avenue home at around 4:30 p.m. Nov. 17. The man was charged with burglary and violating a temporary protective order.

Running for the border, then arrested

A man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after he went into the on Detroit Avenue and began yelling obscenities at the employees and customers at around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17.
