St. Edward: State Champs… in a Couple of Spring Sports
The Eagles' track and rugby teams go the distance for state crowns over the weekend.
This season has been kind to ’s spring sports squads.
First, the Eagles’ rugby team won the state tournament over Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller, 10-7, in Columbus, according to the Plain Dealer.
That capped a perfect season.

Then, on Saturday, the Eagles won the school’s first Division 1 state track title.
According to the Plain Dealer, repeat 200-meter champion Anthony Young led the team in Columbus.
