State Rep. Nickie Antonio to be Delegate for the 2016 Democratic National Convention
Lakewood, Ohio will be represented at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Lakewood will have a representative at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. State Representative Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) has been chosen by the Ohio Democratic party executive committee as an official delegate for the Democratic National Convention to be held in Philadelphia this summer.
Antonio was one of 19 on the list of pledged party leaders and elected official delegates confirmed for the coveted positions to what is shaping up to be an historic event. Democrats will choose their nominees for President and Vice President with Hillary Clinton likely to be nominated as the first female presidential nominee.
“I am honored to have been chosen to be a Delegate for Hillary Clinton and represent Democrats from Northeast Ohio as we participate in an exciting chapter in our nation’s democracy”, Antonio said in a statement.

The Democratic National Convention will be from July 25-28, 2016. There are expected to be 4,765 Delegates to the convention. The Ohio delegation will number 160 individuals from around the state.
Antonio represents Ohio House District 13 which consists of Lakewood in its entirety and parts of the West Side of Cleveland. She serves as Minority Whip for the Ohio General Assembly and is serving in her third term.
