Steel going up on the new LHS 'Purple Palace'

Things are moving along with construction at Lakewood High School.

Things are moving right along and on schedule with Lakewood City Schools construction projects according to Communications and PR specialist, Christine Gordillo:

"All the buildings are on schedule for the dedication dates and an August 2017 opening for LHS. Currently, crews at LHS are focusing on putting the steel supports in place and continuing to work on the exterior brick masonry."

The three elementary schools, Grant, Lincoln and Roosevelt are scheduled to be dedicated in August.

Recently, a large crane has been busy placing steel beams in the framework for what will become the new east wing of the high school or "Purple Palace" as @Lkwd_LHS calls it on Twitter.
