Traffic Alert Reminder: Cleveland Marathon to Close Traffic on Lake Avenue on Sunday, May 15
The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon passes through Lakewood on Sunday, May 15.

The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon will be passing through Lakewood on Sunday, May 15. This means Lake Avenue will be closed to traffic from 6:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The race path starts on Lake Avenue from W. 117th Street to Rocky River, then back again.
Lakewood Police will be there to keep an eye on things and grant residents along the route access to their homes.

“We don’t want people to be trapped in their residences,” said Lakewood Police Lt. Roger Warner. “But we’re asking residents to be patient, as there may be significant delays.”
No parking will be allowed along the race route on Sunday. Any remaining vehicles will be towed.
