Viewfinder: St. Edward Loses Football 'Holy War'

In one of the most storied football rivalries in the state, Lakewood's lost the "Holy War" to visiting St. Ignatius, 20-17.

And it wasn't pretty.

According to the Plain Dealer, the Eagles (7-3) were plagued with too many turnovers that cost them the game.

An estimated 11,000 people packed to watch the contest — easily the most fans gathered at the intersection of Bunts Road and Madison Avenue all year long.
