Viewfinder: Taking a Stroll Through the Madison Avenue Art Walk

Three art galleries — Crafty Goodness, Rockflower Studio and Goddess Blessed — participate in Saturday's event.

The spotlight was shining on local artists along Madison Avenue on Saturday during the Madison Avenue Art Walk.

Crowds of residents and shoppers didn't have to look too far for good — just a few-minute walk along the street.

The owners of ,  and  hosted the event — with the idea to show off more than 80 of the most talented artists in Northeast Ohio.

"I am really pleased with the turnout," said co-organizer, and owner of Crafty Goodness, Christin Sorensen. "It's just great that we have this opportunity to showcase all of the local art by our local artists — which we're lucky enough to have in Northeast Ohio."

The event, supported by the Madison Avenue Merchants Association, featured artwork that includes acrylic and oil paintings, mixed media pieces and photography.

But there were other attractions, including sidewalk chalk art, the Zydeco foot truck and tarot card readings.
