Winners at the Lakewood Arts Festival Announced

Several artists — out of 164 — in eight categories took home the top prizes.

Out of the 164 artists who participated in this year's , there were seven who took home some of the top honors.

Earning the best in show ribbon was Mike Guyot for etching.

In first place was Chuck Wimmer for etching.

Taking home second place honors was Robert Coby for his glass work. Coby also was awarded the New Artist Award.

In third place was Maria Pfropper, of Port Huron, MI, for her painting.

Yumiko Goto won the fourth place prize for her work in ceramics.

Russell Stephanchick won first place in the Best Creative Presentation category.

David Gates, mixed media, was awarded the second place prize in the Best Creative Presentation category.
