1. The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Civic Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Road, to consider setback and parking variances for Deacon's Chrysler Jeep, 835 SOM Center Road.
2. The Picknicks will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mayfield Village Gazebo, located at the northwest corner of SOM Center and Wilson Mills roads.
3. Casablanca will be shown at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ross DeJohn Community Center, 6306 Marsol Road, Mayfield Heights, as part of the Senior Movie Matinee series. Snacks will be provided courtesy of Senior Independence.
4. City Council will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 5827 Highland Road. Agenda items include the city gazebo project and proposed charter amendments.
5. Friends of the will have a book sale starting with a free members preview from 4-5:30 p.m. Friday at the library, 1491 Chagrin River Road. The sale will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1.
