Alpha Place Developer Has Plans for Catalano's Site

Mayor Scott Coleman said city officials met Tuesday with Lance Osborne, who has a purchase agreement for the site of the former Catalano's Stop & Shop store and said he will present development plans to the city on July 11.

Osborne is president of Osborne Capital Group, which developed the Shoppes at Alpha Place.

Coleman said Giant Eagle still wants to have a GetGo gas station at the front of the site, but Osborne would develop the the portion where the former grocery building stands.

"They're still going with the GetGo, but he has definite plans for the back building," Coleman said.

Building Commission Dale Grabfelder said Osborne would own the property and lease space to Giant Eagle. He said he expects a site plan to be presented at the July 11 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
