Area Firefighters to Host Chili Cookoff in November
Firefighters from Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, Highland Heights, Lyndhurst and South Euclid will cook chili to support the Community Partnership on Aging.
In about a month, people will find out which area fire department doubles as the best chili-cooking outfit.
The "5 City, 5 Alarm Chili Cookoff" is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday Nov. 2 at the Highland Heights Community Center. The event will benefit the Community Partnership on Aging's Safe at Home program.
Fire departments from Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, Highland Heights, Lyndhurst and South Euclid will provide chili samples, cornbread, salad and beverages.
