Bellefaire JCB Biathlon Begins in Shaker, Extends to Mayfield

An event this Sunday offers a few opportunities for fitness while supporting an area child welfare agency.

The 18th Annual Bellefaire JCB Biathlon and Walk begins in Shaker Heights and extends through five suburbs, including Mayfield Heights. People can choose one of three events—the biathlon (3-mile run and 12-mile bike ride); a 2-mile "Fun Run" for all ages; or a 2-mile family walk.

You can register online through Thursday Aug. 22 or at the event beginning at 7 a.m. The events begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

Funds from the event support initiatives at Bellefaire JCB, including education to teens on bullying, teen violence and the dangers of human trafficking.
