Benefit Golf Outing at StoneWater in Highland Heights
Money will go toward renal medullary carcinoma research
The second annual Thigpen Memorial Golf Outing will take place on Thursday at , 1 Golf Club Drive, Highland Heights.
Cost is $125 per golfer ($50 for dinner only) and there will be live entertainment by Obie Sheldon and Jazz Etc. There will be a noon shotgun start. For information, contact Brandy Thigpen at 216-571-6037 or brandythigpen@yahoo.com.
Proceeds will benefit the Christopher Thigpen Foundation, established to raise awareness about sickle cell anemia. Christopher Thigpen died in 2010 at age 27 of a rare disease involving the sickle cell trait called renal medullary carcinoma.
Event sponsors include the Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute and Third Federal Savings and Loan.
