Business Spotlight: Corned Beef at Scalper's

The crew at Scalper's Bar and Grill expect plenty of hungry stomachs under green shirts on Sunday.

Manager Dawn McFarland said the business has a whopping 70 pounds of corned beef for St. Patrick's Day. That's usually enough for the larger-than-normal crowd, and McFarland hopes that stays the same this year.

"We open at 9 a.m. and go strong until 2:30 a.m.," she said.

The bar will begin with "kegs 'n' eggs" and continue with $7.99 corned beef sandwiches and reubens for $8.99. The $2 green domestic beer special carries on throughout the day.

"It's always my fun, long day of the year," McFarland said.
