Deacon's Chrysler Jeep Prepares for Expansion
The company has demolished its old sales office so make way for a bigger showroom

After years of meetings and a rezoning ballot issue, the expansion of Deacon's Chrysler Jeep is underway.
The company's old sales administrative building was demolished this week to make way for a $2.5 million expansion that will include a new showroom.
"We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year and are looking forward to providing our customers a premier buying and service experience with our new facility for the next 50," president Jim Deacon wrote in an email to Patch.

He expects the expansion to take 12 to 14 months. The showroom will be 12,574 square feet and allow the company to add the Dodge and Ram product lines.
The dealership will remain open during the duration of construction.
