Deacon's Chrysler Jeep Is Subject of Public Hearing in Mayfield Village Tonight

A planned expansion at requires rezoning, which must be placed on the ballot by Council and approved by voters. Residents can state their opinions about the rezoning at a public hearing at 7 p.m. today at the Civic Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Road.

Council is scheduled to vote on the proposed legislation for the rezoning at a meeting on Aug. 15.

Deacon's has a $2.5 million expansion planned that would double the dealership's showroom size and add the Dodge and Ram product lines. Rezoning is required for two residential properties that would be used to store cars.

The project would incorporate an existing 6,160-square-foot service department building into a 12,574-square-foot addition that would be mostly showroom space.

Design materials for the project were approved July 28 by the Architectural Board of Review.
