Fourth Community Requires New Name for Tri-City Consortium on Aging

With Mayfield Heights aboard, it's time for a change

Now that Mayfield Heights has joined, the name Tri-City Consortium on Aging no longer seems appropriate. Suggestions for a new name are being taken through May 15.

Tri-City Consortium on Aging also serves Highland Heights, Lyndhurst and South Euclid.

People with ideas for a name can send them by email to Director Stacy O'Brien at obriens@tri-cityseniors.org or call her at 216-291-3901. O'Brien said she's heard about 15 suggestions so far, with many including "quad" or "four" as part of the name.

O'Brien said she doesn't want to include a number in the organization's name and then have to change it again in the future.

"I'd be concerned that we'd have to change in a few years if anything else changed," she said.

People have been creative about names and some even added intricate drawings for a new logo, O'Brien said.

Plans are for the top suggestions to be published in the Tri-City Senior newsletter. O'Brien said the new name will be announced in September in recognition of the organization's 33rd anniversary.
