Gilmour Academy Boys' Soccer Led by Trio of Captains

Nine players return from team that was 11-5-1

boys' soccer team, 11-5-1 last year, returns three seniors as captains in midfielders Kevin Gleason and Rob Catanese and defender Tom Flynn.

Seventh-year coach Rob Norris said senior leadership and the ability to pressure teams will be the team's strengths this season.

"Our goals include to continue to work hard and improve on a daily basis throughout the regular season and into the playoffs," he said.

The new goalkeeper this year will be junior David Hasler. Norris said team defense  is an area where the team will have to work to improve this year.

“We can always improve,” said Norris. “We need good communication with the players and captains and we need to learn to finish our opportunities.”

The schedule includes the additions of Lake Catholic, Salem and Wellington.
