Gilmour Academy To Host 75th Anniversary Gala Sept. 18

On Saturday, September 18, Gilmour Academy will host a 75th Anniversary Gala. This event will be chaired by Lorraine Dodero, known throughout the area for her philanthropy and commitment to education. It will honor Gilmour’s 75 years of Holy Cross education while celebrating its future.

The 75th Anniversary Celebration will be held on campus and will be a tented, outdoor event. The evening will include a spotlight on the opening of The Lorraine and Bill Dodero Center for Performing Arts, dinner, cocktails, entertainment by Bluewater Kings Band and Silent and Live Auctions. Auction offerings include packages for skiing in Utah; fly fishing in Colorado; golf in South Carolina; Indians, Browns and Notre Dame game tickets; and more. Tours of the Center for Performing Arts will be available following the auction.

Andy Baskin, host of 92.3 The Fan WKRK-FM, WKRK-HD and Radio.com; and Sara Shookman, anchor at WKYC-TV, will emcee the evening’s festivities. Joe Girvan will serve as the event auctioneer. All proceeds will support Gilmour’s tuition assistance program, student services and academic programming.
