Grab & Go Kids Planner

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

 Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

 Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. We want to hear from you!

The Ram in the Chile Patch

Why Go: A Mexican tale about a boy named Juan who learns that you don't have to be big to do great things – especially for pre-kindergarten to fourth grade, young children must be accompanied by an adult

Destination Cool Careers

Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library Mayfield Branch, 6080 Wilson Mills Road, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
Why Go: Ages 14-18 can explore careers through hands-on activities like making a resume and developing a life plan

Wildlife Wendy

Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library Gates Mills Branch, 1491 Chagrin River Road, 10 a.m. Monday
Why Go: "Wildlife" Wendy Horton will bring her performing birds and share fascinating facts about birds

Family Fun Day and Picnic

Where/When: Wildwood Cultural Center, 7645 Little Mountain Road, Mentor, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: Fun, games and entertainment, as well as free historical tours of the manor house – bring a picnic lunch to share with your family (no grilling)
