Grendell Introduces Bill to Honor Ohio Veteran

State Sen. Tim Grendell, R-18, introduced Senate Bill 187 Friday to designate a portion of U.S. Route 322 in Geauga County the "Chief Warrant Officer Christopher R. Thibodeau Memorial Highway."

Thibodeau, of Chester Township, died on May 26 while on a combat mission in Afghanistan. Passage of the bill would allow signs to be erected displaying the name of the memorial highway.

"Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Thibodeau paid the ultimate price while serving his country,” said Grendell. “While we will never be able to fully express our gratitude to him, creating this memorial highway in his honor is one small way we can show our respect and thanks for the courage and sacrifice of this remarkable man.”
