Highland Heights Has Town Hall Meeting for Jefferson Drive

Sewer project to be discussed tonight.

will have a Town Hall meeting to discuss the Jefferson Drive sewer project at 7 p.m. today at the Community Center, 5827 Highland Rd.

The project is in the final design phase. The county plans to reline the Jefferson sewers next spring.

That area was targeted because of a high infiltration rate, according to Assistant City Engineer Brian Mader, and could be contributing to flooding problems on Highland Road.

Service Director Thom Evans recently provided City Council's Drainage Committee with an update on steps being taken to alleviate flooding in these other areas:

• Highland Road – Site visits with residents have been completed and information is being compiled into a spreadsheet.

• Wilson Mills Road (from Miner Road east to city limits) – No problems were found when county cleaned and televised main line. The county is looking for direction on what steps to take next.

• Lander Road (Wilson Mills to Ridgebury Boulevard) – An obstruction was found at the main connection at Wilson Mills. The county plans to repair the connection and remove the obstruction.
