Kohl's Offers Scholarships for Outstanding Young Volunteers

Young volunteers can get help paying for college with a scholarship program offered by .

Starting Wednesday, Kohl's will take nominations at kohlskids.com for the 2012 Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program. Children ages 6 to 18 are eligible - those making nominations must be 21 or older.

Nominations will be taken through March 15. Two nominees from each of 1,100 Kohl's stores nationwide will win $50 gift cards. More than 200 store winners will receive regional scholarships worth $1,000 and ten national winners will be awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships.

Since the program began in 2001, Kohl's has recognized more than 15,000 young volunteers with more than $3 million in scholarships and prizes.
