Lander Construction Near Pepper Pike Border Could Slow Traffic
Mayor Anthony DiCicco warned drivers that work on Lander will divert traffic headed toward Pepper Pike to Brainard and Gates Mills.

Road construction in a nearby city could cause increased traffic on some Mayfield Heights streets well into the summer.
During Mayfield Heights Mayor Anthony DiCicco's update to city council this week, he briefly discussed Pepper Pike's Lander Road construction project and how it might affect motorists in Mayfield.
The first phase of the Lander reconstruction began this week, from Cedar Road to Fairmount Boulevard, just past city limits. DiCicco said drivers who want to head south of Cedar, into Pepper Pike, will be detoured through Mayfield to either Brainard Road or Gates Mills Boulevard.
"You might want to keep that in mind in your daily travels," DiCicco said.
That phase of the Lander project will continue through July 26, according to Pepper Pike's website. The following two phases continue south into Pepper Pike from late July to November, and don't figure to have much of an impact on Mayfield Heights traffic.
