Man Pleads Not Guilty to Attacking Hillcrest Nurses & Patient
Andrew J. Margheret's pre-trial is scheduled for May 12.

The man accused of attacking an intensive care patient and two nurses at Hillcrest Hospital has pleaded not guilty not guilty to his assault and burglary charges.
Andrew J. Margheret, 28, appeared in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Monday. According to The News-Herald, pre-trial has been set for 9 a.m. on May 12. He was handed a $5,000 cash surety bond.
Margheret's three first-degree misdemeanor charges of assault and third-degree count of burglary stem from an April 3 incident that Mayfield Heights Police believe involved the man biting a patient and hitting a nurse in the face.

Police said he tried to explain his actions by stating that he “looked into the sun and was told that he was a savior.”
The man had stopped taking his prescribed medication for bipolar disorder, according to police. He faces up to five years in jail for the third-degree felony burglary charge. First-degree misdemeanors are punishable by up to 180 days in jail.
