Employees at Materion Brush Performance Alloys provided assistance to co-workers in Japan after the earthquake and tsunami.
The company's corporate headquarters are at 6070 Parkland Blvd., Mayfield Heights.
A company press release said that the 38 workers in Japan were offered lodging if they wanted to temporarily relocate to the United States, but none took the company up on its offer.
Two pallets with 370 gallons of bottled water were sent to Japan, along with Materion's donation of almost $15,000 to the AmeriCares – Japan Disaster Relief Fund. Donations came from corporate and employee contributions.
