Mayfield Heights Sets Road Repair Program for 2011
Two streets added after harsh winter

This winter has been extremely harsh on some streets in Mayfield Heights, causing city officials to adjust the 2011 road repair program.
City Engineer Dave McCallops said West Miner and Oakville roads were added because they are now in a condition that requires work this year.
"We took out some at the low end and added these two streets," he said.
However, there are also concerns that oil prices will push costs beyond the estimated $731,894 in work to be done.
"As everyone knows, what's going on in the Middle East has shot the oil prices up higher," he said.
McCallops said that not only affects the cost of asphalt, but also trucking costs for delivery of materials.
"We feel it would be prudent to take the program a little bit lower than we previously discussed," he said.
