Mayfield High Selected for National Art & Music Tour

Mayfield High School was the only school in Ohio to receive a visit from a national musical and art education tour.

Dubbed an "educational Lalapalooza," High School Nation stopped by Mayfield High School Wednesday as one of its 20 sites for a two-hour outdoor assembly and concert. The event was meant to expose students to the art, musical and technological programs at various colleges across the nation.

"We want our students to be exposed to all kinds of career exploration," principal Tony Loewer said in a statement. "This is an extraordinary opportunity for students to get exposure to careers in the fields of fine arts and music."

The HSN program has been going on for a decade. Other tour stops include Boston, Washington and Philadelphia.
