Mayfield Library Design Plans Presented Tonight
Formal submission expected in September

Council will have a special caucus meeting/planning and zoning workshop at 7:30 p.m. tonight about the design of the new of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. The meeting will be at the Civic Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Road.
Village Administrator Diane Wolgamuth said library officials approached the village about a meeting to provide an update on design plans.
"They're planning to make a more formal presentation in September," she said. "This is just to show us where they're at."
Back in May, the library hosted an open house to get public input on designs for the new facility. The session was attended by representatives from the architectural firm URS and consultant Holzheimer Bolek and Meehan Architects.
Earlier this year, Mayfield Village and Progressive Insurance reached an agreement that provided the village with 8 acres of property for development near Interstate 271. Council members said 5 acres could be made available for the library site.
