Mayfield Village Adds Full-Time Police Officer

John R. Argie was hired as a full-time police officer in . He has worked part time with the department for six years.

Mayor Bruce Rinker administered the oath of office at Monday's Mayfield Village Council meeting.

"He's a very dedicated, very competent officer," Rinker said.

The promotion was the final in a series that started with the retirement of Patrick Dearden and promotion of Richard Edelman to police chief. Edelman said the department is now at its regular staffing level of 16 full-time officers and seven part-time officers.
