Mayfield Village Issues Sept. 11 Proclamation

Ask residents to pay tribute by recognizing victims

Mayor Bruce Rinker issued a proclamation in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001.

He noted that the terrorist attacks on that day dramatically impacted our lives and the entire world and that Sept. 11 will never be just another day in the minds of Americans.

The proclamation also asks residents "to pay tribute to all of the victims of 9/11 by recognizing and remembering the events of that fateful day and by engaging in personal and individual acts of community service or other giving activities as part of a solemn day of remembrance."

Rinker also offered sincere condolences to families, friends and loved ones of the innocent victims of the attacks and recognized the valiant service of military personnel who support the cause of freedom and defend the United States.
