'Moms Talk' Q & A: What Input Do Your Children Have with Vacation Plans?

With the school year about to end, the Moms Council addresses how to involve children in vacation planning.
This issue came to me recently when my mother reminded me of a family trip to Toronto when my brother and I decided on the hotel. Being kids, our main criteria was that it have an indoor pool.

Naturally, that pool was pretty murky and I don't recall if we even went swimming. Meanwhile, the hotel where we stayed was considerably north of downtown and far away from anywhere we planned to visit.
And I still get to hear about it decades later. Now, let's hear from the Moms Council.

Kim Zannetti: My husband and I do the "research" on two or three possibilities. Once we have the numbers/prices on two or three vacations that would work, we put it to a family vote. That has worked pretty nicely.
