New Biscuones – Frozen Breakfast Pastries From StoneWater

The holiday madness can mean only one thing…lovely and unexpected visitors, kids home from school, hungry college kids and their friends-- and never enough food or substantial, memorable things to share with guests – whether they are planned or unexpected.

Biscuones is a new creation by Executive Chef, Kathryn Neidus from StoneWater and The Rustic Grill. Billed as “a biscuit and scone lovechild” their biscuones are combination of the best parts of from a biscuit and a scone. Their first flavor, “the original” is sausage and cheddar. With the buttery flakiness of a biscuit and heartiness and crisp edges of a scone, it hits all the right breakfast/brunch notes. Produced and packaged at StoneWater, they’re sold frozen and by the dozen for you to bring home and keep in the freezer. To have on hand in a moments notice, just warm them up and have them in your home to serve to guests, family and all of the other people in and out of your house during the holiday and of course, throughout the new year. We’ve been told that they are simply irresistible.

“Breakfast pastries often remind people of a special occasion or holiday – a treat in the morning or even a midnight snack, served with friends and some holiday cheer. This recipe, although simple, leaves lasting impressions on anyone who consumes them,” said Chef Kathryn Neidus. “The butteriness from the biscuit, the savory sausage and cheese, they’re the ultimate comfort food. I keep some in my freezer all year long and guests, my kids are never disappointed!”

Sisters Whitney, Lindsey and Kathryn Neidus, known for their innovative and anticipated creation, made these biscuones in addition to their holiday Glogg, that sells out annually. “We know firstand that there is never enough food during the holidays – at least the kind that is easy to prepare and leaves everyone satisfied,” said Neidus. We’ve been offering these at events and people always rave about them, so we decided to offer them in bulk for people to have on hand in their homes.
