Police Blotter: 911 Caller was Testing New Phone

An Aintree Park Drive woman called 911 at 8:04 a.m. Sept. 19 and hung up. A dispatcher called back and the woman explained that she had a new phone that has a red cross, which she now knew was button that dials 911.

A caller at 4:10 p.m. Sept. 18 said a small kitten was alive and in the sewer on SOM Center Road near Hickory Hill Drive. Police were unable to find the kitten.

Two cars were parked by on SOM Center Road at 2:38 a.m. Sept. 18. An officer spoke with people who were visiting the grave of someone on the anniversary of their death. They were told that it was well past visiting hours.

Pieces of rebar were sticking up in the roadway on Beechers Brook on Sept. 17 and creating a hazard for motorists. Police called the service department to see if something could be done to keep it from sticking out.
